The opening hole at Semlin Valley Golf Club is a short but tricky par 4, presenting an almost 90 degree right-to-left dogleg and a blind tee shot.  From the tee box you will see in the far hills an orange and white coloured radio tower.  Using this as your target, try to shape your shot right to left.  A drive of about 220 yards should leave you with a short shot into this slightly uphill green.
As on all the holes at Semlin Valley out-of-bounds is on the left.  The green is guarded by two sand traps on the left and one back right.  There is also a pond behind the green so beware of being long with your approach!  The green has a ridge about 1/3 of the way into sloping downhill left to right.
